Sounds like its just the luck of the draw.......
Well I hope I get a good draw as I have yet to install them but they came of of Todd C s car so im sure they should fit. Tucked away in the garage for a next big upgrade.

Wow, somebody at SW had a bad day. Reminds me of all the swearing and hammering we did when we installed your headers all those many moons ago, Jeff.

Jeff,

The problem I had with the "new" Jeal Headers I just installed was the location of the drivers side 02 probe, it hit the bell housing. Had to grind quite a bit to get it in and give about 1/16" clearance. And one other problem area for the Calif. guys is the location of the EGR tube, it would not allow me to put in the top bolt on the K brace on the passenger side; had to remove the header, install the K brace then reinstall the header. And I could not intall all the bolts on the passenger side front port although I have no leaks.

I just wanted to give an update, seeing as how panties are in a bunch over at CF.

Headers were received by SSW on Monday 12th. I had to call and ask for an update on the 14th. They agreed the primary tube #1 was sticking out further than it should, and they were inspecting the cnc pattern on the flange for any issues.

As it stands, I have been doing the one calling to get info. I am about to call now and get an update on the flange issue.

Jeff:

Don't know if you waded through all the BS on CF to see my post... If you have not done this already, contact Al Noe. He is basically Mr. SW's. When I was selling the headers to our community, he took care of any issues with incredible timeliness. Hope this helps.

Jeff-
FYI- I installed my SW's in Feb 2004. Perfect fit, tight- but as you would expect with any application takes time to get all the bolts in. Love my system!

Definitly a production problem since '04 anyhow

Jerry-

In '04 I had 1 chance to buy a set of Jeals, as far as I know they were the last available set on the planet offered by Cory Henderson........I've never heard of them being available since then, they were offered to me at 3 times the price of SW's hense my decline. I fear you will only find them available as used, and as of this date I've never seen a set available.

There are custum headers available today other than SW & the defunct Jeal which you can pursue, they will even hook up your AIR to them, find them using Google, may cost you a couple thousand but you'd probably love'm.

Guys,

I bought them off of e-bay, they were advertised as new with all the parts that came with them. Did the guy in Texas that owned them tell the truth? A number of folks saw them and bid as I did, just kept bidding until they were mine, $1050.00.

Just to wrap up this discussion, SSW put the header back on the jig and the #1 pipe was not welded correctly. They sent out an updated set and everything installed perfectly. Car was a little late to the customer, but he understood and the weather was also crappy.
