Question Looking Tire Recommendations for 90 ZR1 with chip, headers -cats & flowmaster exhaust

Looking for an "Ultra Performance Dry & Wet Tire" for Twisty Road Tours and highway trips.
Tire Rack (TR) Has only the following tires listed in stock or backorder:
1. Goodyear Eagle 1 GSD-3 (on back order ~may be available around 3 weeks) - Excellent Reviews wet & dry
Tire Rack Cost for set of 4 = $1004 before tax, S & H, mounting & balance

2. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 -stock front size
-335/35 ZR17 oversize Rear's (this tire is 1/2" taller on the dia and 3/4"
wider in the width) and not gauranteed to fit by Tire Rack - in stock
This is the tire that many vette owners tell me is simply the best. Price is ~50% higher than the Goodyears. Set of 4 = $1462 before tax, S & H, etc

3. Sumitomo stock sizes $424 complete price just add monting and balance to it - and are in stock at TR - Reviews on these tires were generally good to excellent with a couple poor exceptions. Performance, especially for wet roads, is lower than Goodyears or Michelins (but can't quantify it)- Not too interested in these because I really don't want to compromise performance (especially wet) unless it is minimal.

Get the Goodyears if you can.

However many have heard that the 315/35/17 is no longer being made. Maybe Tire Rack has better info.

I would suggest the "best" you can afford. Goodyears

Aren't they really good enough on wet surfaces compared to Goodyears or Dunlops? Price is only $99 each in tirerack and they have them in stock, three times higher for the other brands!

If you want wet and dry, my two cents is GS-D3's all the way. Wet weather performance is in my experience excellent. To be fair, I have zero experience with the other two tires.

Honestly I drive my car very carefully and rarely in wet surfaces. I'm still doing some research because I found a quite reliable European brand (Vredestein) that has this tire size too but they are difficult to find in my country and I'd get Eagles for a slightly lower price from the US even having to pay shipping costs.
