Asking $40k to start, well below NCM evaluation.
The car is well known by Pete, Marc Haibeck, Jeff DeBuhr. I am well known in the community, I build the single fuel pump conversion kits for the ZR-1, have about 130 in the field now! Was a 6 year retirement restoration, I replaced a lot of parts just for the enjoyment of working on it. I am a retired Engineer, this was my hobby. The car is ready to go. Sideways photo is Pete after installing my Cams. It's a damn nice car. Retirement just isn't working out the way I planned, degenerative spine disease makes the car almost undriveable for me. The car runs very strong! I live in the Western Chicago Suburbs. Not far from Marc Haibeck, Pete Polasidis and Jeff DeBuhr.

I was asked "What does it need"?
1) One upper shock bushing is cracked (but functional), I have a set of new ones. 2) The headlight motor gears will eventually need replacing, like all C4s, I have the parts. BTW, they work fine. 3) The Driver's door windlace seal needs replacement, I have new ones from Corvette Rubber. 4) Like all ZR-1's, the windshield will eventually need replacing, tho it works fine. I was planning on installing a standard C4 windshiield and 3M Ceramic film, which pretty much simulates the ZR-1 functional intent. That is all I know of and can think of.

This car is obviously not for everyone.
It's NOT for the guy who wants a low mile car to keep in the garage and look at occasionally. It's also NOT the high mileage car you just want to drive a couple hundred thousand miles without hurting the value. This car is cosmetically and mechanically restored. It also has significant performance upgrades. You have to pay attention when driving it, if you are not careful, it can get away from you. For example: When entering the highway one day, doing about 50, I completely floored it and it and it started fish-tailing (at 50 mph!), AND a semi-truck was right behind me at that time. THAT is an attention-getter! That was when I upgraded to the TOYO Proxes R888R 335/30ZR18 102Y performance extra-wide rear tires. That is no longer an issue with those tires. Just an example of what it can do. It still gets great gas mileage while cruising, not so much when putting your foot in it constantly. But who can resist? I have never done a burn out with it. I have never dropped the clutch on a revved up engine. Personally, I find that unnecessarily destructive. I do not baby the car, I love the revved-up sound of the Haibeck 500, Callaway cams & B&B 3" exhaust! It is a beautiful sound! Functionally, you can let the clutch out at idle, then floor it and it will not stumble or do anything byt GO, it is very drivable. I built this car for car shows and to be great fun to drive. It is lively. But, my retirement isn't going as planned. Old injuries have beat the crap out of me. Some days, just walking the pup is a challenge. But this car needs a loving home. Someone who would appreciate it. It is VERY reliable. It looks great. Always draws attention at car shows. You can't stop the big-*** grinning while driving it. I am offering the car for $40k, I have a LOT more than that into it. I also have 6 years of restoration work into it. But, it is what it is.
