Default Recommended Power Steering Fluid

I have a 1990 ZR1. OEM recommended power steering fluid is no longer available. What is the best replacement PS fluid for our ZR1s?

No clue personally but you might shoot Marc H. an email or give him a call. I am sure he has a recommendation. --Bob

1994 Corvette owners manual specifies AcDelco 12345866 or 12345867 - different size containers.
Both available at Amazon, summit racing, etc.

I never used a stock fluid in '95 #140. In fact, I used that in any GM power steering system from 1988 until installed electric power steering on C7. I, also, wouldn't use a fluid spec'ed in the mid-90s because what's available today are far better choices.

I used Red Line Power Steering fluid which is an ester-based synthetic fluid and a far better choice than the petroleum-based fluids recommended back then or now.

If you don't like Red Line, Driven Racing Oil markets an mPAO-based synthetic fluid, "PSF" which is almost as good as the Red Line Oil product.
