Passive Security system intermittant
I have a 93 ZR-1 I bought new key fobs 2 years ago. They worked perfectly until recently. Now at times when I walk up to the car nothing happens. I changed the battery but that did not effect a change. On on other days I walk up to the car and the passive system works perfectly. There must be a receiver somewhere in the car that is intermittent.
Does anyone know if this receiver is available and where?http://www.zr1.net/forum/images/smilies/fahne19.gif Dave Noble #180 |

Re: Passive Security system intermittant
Hi Dave - I'm in Raymore, as well! Small world!
I was just searching and looks like there are some of these (I'm assuming these are what you're after) on Ebay, corvetterecycling.com, corvettesalvage.com, and a few others. Check your PM - good to "meet" you! Mike

Re: Passive Security system intermittant
Mike,
I do not recall seeing your ZR-1 at any car shows but tell me if you have had it at a show that you saw my Z so I can try to recall. I went to the Warrensburg Wheels Car show today & will go to Eureka Springs next week-end. Normally on Sat evening we go to BlueSprings Cruise on Hiway 7 behind TocoBell. This evening I am staying home after pulling a hamstring today. Thanks for reaching out, Dave Noble |

Re: Passive Security system intermittant
Hi Dave, I just got the Z about a month ago. It's a one-owner car that was originally in Kerbeck's collection. Really low miles, 5,600. Has a few issues I will be sorting through. Sent you a private message with a few details last night I have not had a lot of time to spend with it, yet.
Here's my thread on the car. http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=33391 I've seen your car driving around on 58 several times but haven't made it recently to local shows. Just very busy with two small kids! However, I have wanted a yellow ZR-1 since they were new. I bought my LT4 20 years ago, I did a few shows with it many years ago, back when Hendrick was Superior. Sounds like you have a good line on lots of local events. I watch for some on Facebook, but you've mentioned some I was certainly not aware of. Almost made it to the Belton one last weekend but my timing wasn't right. BTW I found your recent videos - great job! Love the drone footage, that is very cool! I look forward to meeting you in person! Thanks! Mike

Re: Passive Security system intermittant
Next week end we are going to Eureka Springs AK.
There is a Belton event that is held once a year and is free It is their Annual Car Show. It is heavily attended so get there 2 hours early if you want a good parking place. Oct 9th. Unfortunately that is Eureka Springs week end. We will find a place to get together My wife is into Corvettes just as much as I am so I am glad to see that your wife is also. Drop me an email dnobull@gmail.com Dave |
