Okay guys, One of my favorite cars is the Skyline R34. Because I have a home in NSW, Australia I can buy one, own it for a year and ship it to the US without having any problems with US Customs. Do I buy a R34 or a RSD ZR-1. Dont be partial either.
Also, The Prices are BS, They have crazy pricing hoping international shoppers will pay the crazy money. ZR-1 will sell for about 30K-35K US, R34 Will sell for around 50K. I do know where there is an identical Skyline with a an LS7 engine for 45K. Only problem it is piss yellow. https://www.justcars.com.au/cars-for...pe-/JCW5068705 https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...-6835482/?Cr=0 |

If you want to sell the skyline when you bring it to the US I believe you will fetch a lot more then 50k. They are gonna be in high demand once they are available to bring over. With so few made compared to 32 and 33?s more then likely how it will be. The z in unique that it is rhd but you really need to know cars to want the zr-1. The 34 is just cult status.

The Vtec R-spec engine can handle 1000hp without major bottom end changes. That is why the US banned them in the first place. I have no clue how many you can import without paying some sort of premium. There is a fee based on the original value of the car. |

This is a no-brainer.....If it were me, it would be the R34 Skyline. As much as I love all things ZR-1, the R34 is just going to keep climbing up in price. I would love to own two ZR-1s, but isn't variety the spice of life ??? The R34 is way more mod friendly the our Zs, and just as bullet proof. As rare as it is to see any C4 Z, you NEVER see Skylines in the USA. The only R34 I have ever seen in person was when I was in Chicago last year. But either car, can one really go wrong lol?

Buying an LS7 swapped R34 makes about as much sense as buying a Coyote Swapped C4 ZR-1. I'd never do it. The RB26 is a great engine.
