Default I got a code 55 today. Now what?

I got a Code 55 today during a bit of "spirited" driving today.

The SES light cam on after a run up to 7k. The car ran great and I noticed no performance issues. I drove the car with no iproblem to my next stop and when I restarted, the SES was absent from the DIC.

I checked the code when I got home and got a 55..."detected a lean oxygen sensor voltage for 2 seconds during the power enrichment modes of operation."

Was this a momentary LOS (loss of Sh*t) or bigger problems? My research can't find anything specific about a 55 but I'm thinking it has to due with the secondaries?

Any help is appreciated!

BTW... I ran the diagnostic and got a H55, which I cleared.

The more I read is this a fuel pressure issue?

Could be fuel pumps or O2 sensor. I had same code pop up on mine when I first bought it. I went ahead and did both just because I had figured out my secondary fuel pump was on its way out.

Long time back, I had what turned out to be a fuel pressure issue (bad pump out of the box). And, another time when I changed O2 sensors I though I'd seal the wires entering the sensors with RTV. Oh, BIG MISTAKE!

In the end I learned the O2s must have access to the atmosphere in order to work and therefore one must NEVER seal those wires entering the sensor. (Serendipity is a harsh teacher!)

That said, if you need help to assess fuel pumps operation or scanner data on O2s, just shout!
