Default Water in Oil

Just finished install all new radiator hoses. Drove the car and now I am getting water in the oil (Oil looks like a chocolate milkshake). Did a compression test and 7 cylinders read 210 and #4 read 195.
I need help in what to do next or what I could have screwed up when changes the hoses.

Thanks

OK, Step back from the ledge.

Had there been any evidence of this mixing BEFORE the hoses?

Are you sure?

Which specific hoses did you replace?

Your compression readings are not horrible, but may be pointing at something.

Is it possible that the engine overheated upon start up after the hoses due to an air pocket or bubble?

Did you have to burp it?

Do you have or can you borrow or buy an inexpensive cooling system pressure tester?

Any white smoke in the exhaust?

Mileage on the car?

Let's start with those questions before we go much further.

I agree, take your time. A cooling system pressure tester can be rented at AutoZone and such. A compression test is not a good indicator of a blown head gasket. I jumped to conclusions once and replaced an engine when I didn’t need to.

Thank you all for your help.
I "stepped back from the edge" and checked everything.

Turns out the idiot mechanic connected a coolant line to the pcv system.

Now I just need to do a couple of oil changes to flush out the system.

P.S. I am the idiot mechanic !

Mistakes happen, we learn and we move on. We’ve all had our share of bonehead moments. Glad you found the issue.

To the OP: believe you posted the car for sale on the GRM forums; I encouraged you to check over here. Ccmano’s car was the one I was thinking of. Glad you came over and happy you found the problem. Hope you enjoy the car for many more years.
