Default FX3 code 14 & 21 definition?

Giving it one more shot before I rip out the FX3 and replace with Van Steel manual double adjustables. Car is a 91, and after jumpering A&C, I get codes 14 & 21. Can someone verify that these are for RF and LF timeout? Also, is there a way to clear these to see if they come back?

The gear on the right front had broken and I had the gear replaced. I have tested both front shocks at this point and the gear moves (with the same effort on each) through it's range by hand. I can tell a difference in stiffness if I manually adjust and run without the controllers.

Just want to verify before I decide if I want to ship these off to Captain Z and have them rebuilt. I'm still on the fence on dumping any more money into fixing the FX3 as even with DRM coilovers, when the shocks were working, it did not seem that stiff/controlled even in Performance, and in Tour it seemed very floaty.

Yes you have codes 14 and 21 correct. Info to reset the codes is here..

If you don’t have one, get yourself the Section 8A Electrical Diagnosis Service Manual (I’m not sure but for 91’ it might be part of the FSM) and follow the extensive diagnostic trees there for “Ride Control” to get to the bottom of this. Otherwise you simply taking shots in the dark.

You said you confirmed gears on shocks move, but have you removed the actuators and had some one turn the key while you confirmed the actuators did their self test?

Have you confirmed the gears in the actuators are not broken? Also have you confirmed the gear height on the shock is correct? I have found where the gear was a touch low causing the actuators to not contact the shock gear.
