I'm confused.....nothing new there

I thought the OEM emblems on the cam covers were plastic...or at least they look like plastic....and that's why they discolor after a while?

Aluminium would be sweet + powder coat or some super baked enamal finish. I would think that would be very durable either way....no chance for the heat to fade the colors, right?

To my eye, I believe they are different. The OEM '91+ one has a red outlined "bowtie" that is black in the center. It looks like Jeff's is a red bowtie. Quite possibly because the detail of the OEM one is much too fine to try to replicate by hand?

I repainted my '90 badges when I reinstalled the engine. Hard on the eyes but doable if you have a steady hand

The originals were aluminum and black anodized. It's the anodizing that turns purple with the heat exposure.

After doing a hundred sets or so of these myself, I know why GM was charging $100.00 a piece.
