Default Gulstrand CNG ZR-1 & a 2850lb ZR-1

A co-worker gave me a copy of the 03/1993 Motor Trend magazine and there are two ZR-1's mentioned.

First is a lightweight Snake Skinner with 440hp and weighing in at 2850lbs.

Looks like a early car from the interior. Anyone know besides the interior what was done to lighten up the car?

The other is a remark of Dick Gulstrand having a running CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) LT-5.

Thought I would post a few pictures and see what kind of conversation will get started.

Enjoy!

Looks interesting enough I searched on ebay, found a copy and ordered it. There are a few more available from different sellers, I believe.

Note - It is MotorTrend (not R&T).

Rick Hendrick now owns the Snake Skinner.

I've ridden in it several times and road tested it once. Over the years, I've written a number of articles about the car, the most recent of which was in March 2019 issue of Corvette Magazine.
