Default injection housing leak

After a hard drive i noticed some oil on the right side of inj housing. It looks like there is a leak from the gasket. Time to pull housing and replace the
gaskets. Should i replace the o rings on my injectors while i'am in there.
Injectors are from FIC installed some time ago. I ordered new housing
gaskets and plenum gaskets, but forgot to order o rings. Do i replace
only the primary or do all of them.
Thanks
John

John,

FIC injectors come with new, Viton o-ring seals, except for the primary injector lower o-ring seals(8), Jerrys Gaskets PN 10067600-V. If you are not sure the o-rings you have presently are Viton, I recommend replacement. The rest of the o-ring seals are OK for re-use provided they are not damaged.

Lightly lube all of the o-rings with motor oil before re-installing. Do not use silicone grease.

Jerry,

I’m curious why you recommend not using silicone grease?

Silicone will damage the O2 Sensors.

Actually Jerry my understanding is that silicone kills the O2 sensor, not the converter.

You are right Dom, my mistake. I knew that but it just didn't come forward when I was recalling the issue with silicone. One of those symptoms of age.. Thanks for calling it to my attention.
