Default Green Monster Resurfaces Here on the Regsitry

The Green Monster is alive and well!

The car went through one more Non-Registry owner since this posting was active. The owner prior to me in 2015 had the engine rebuilt by Larry's Engine & Marine in Tuscon, AZ and around that time the driveline was also rebuilt.

Since I bought the car in March the previous owner was gracious enough to work with me financially to get all the remaining defects with the car fixed. I focused on the interior and cosmetic issues and I left the hardcore operating gremlins to be sorted out by Marc Haibeck. I also put a complete Corsa exhaust system on the car which sounds wonderful. Marc gave the car a thorough going over and a revised clean bill of health.

I drove the car the C4 Gathering this year and it performed flawlessly. The car is an absolute blast to drive and I couldn’t be happier.

Great to hear you gave your Monster a detailed mechanical & cosmetic new life. And that it's a blast! That is the sole purpose of a proper ZR-1!

Wow! That is a great picture!

In a prior post, I forgot to mention that when Mike Gilbride owned the car, I got a ride in it.

I also got to see it in autocross action a few years earlier when "Jeff" owned it, out at the Windom, MN airport.

Lookin' good!

If anyone has any other pictures or information about the car l would appreciate hearing from you. As these cars get older these internet posts seem to develop a kind of historical record through our memories and photos.

Hi, Mike,
Did you get all the paperwork with the car? There was a box of papers, receipts, articles, etc. when the car was for sale at Jerry's a few years ago.

Awesome - I'm glad the car has been updated. I love the color combo!

Yes. I got a huge box of papers and pictures. It is very complete and a treasure trove of documents. I have not even read all of them completely yet.

I did not find the invoice of work performed by DRM. I asked Doug Rippie if they had copy of the invoice, but he said probably not.

In reviewing the receipts over the life of the car, it's amazing how many clutches this car has gone through. Including the Chinese knockoff Marc Haibeck just replaced. It is a shame these parts are marketed for these cars and just don't hold up.

What I would like is some history or records on how the car was used. There are pictures of the car with two different sets of full race decals with sponsors, very different seats, and harnesses. Scotty White once owned the car and raced it in some capacity; autocross, or perhaps Showroom stock? That history is what I would like to learn more about.

Every car has a story. Some more interesting than others. It what makes every car unique.

I agree with others. Car looks fantastic.

You've probably already done this, but I got a few Google hits for "Scotty B. White" "Corvette ZR-1":
