Now that the CF is pissing off ZR1 guys and our system has shown some reliability, we may stand a better chance of keeping the membership at home.

I sure hope so...

How about showing some support for Jeff who, imo got a raw deal and keep your ZR1 related postings over here?
he has said what a lot think and is paying the price.
Its what Pete mentioned that when I think about it sometimes makes me wanna sell out and just go back to the older tech stuff where I dont need a forum at all...
But-

This car is too cool
Nobody wants the thing anyway

Is this is directed at me?

If so, this thread and talking with a member last night is the first I've heard of Jeff's situation. And if I'm just hearing about it I'm sure others have no idea. I consider Jeff a friend and a great asset to our club and as such he will always have my support.

For me... A while back I tried to use this forum exclusively but it was weeks or months to get a reply. I then started to post to 4 sites: 1. This site; 2. CF; 3. Corvette Action Center; 4. ZR1NR List Server. Needless to say it took much time and it finally got to where the CF was the only place members visited regularly.

With that said, we have to have a plan to get members to migrate back to this forum.

Problem: 1. People don't know what they don't know; 2. They need to feel welcome
Solution: 1. Let people know and; 2. Make them feel welcome...

Suggested plan of action or strategy if you will:

1. We need to post ZR1 stuff primarily over here
2. We need to continue to post to the CF however our threads should only have links to threads we've already started over here
3. If you find a good post on the CF suggest they also post it over here
4. Rave in CF threads on how much better the moderators are over here
5. Push the envelope on the CF moderators (when you can) for their actions against good members
6. Our moderator's need to keep up their good work of welcoming new members as they now do... Something you don't get over there...

If we keep this up for several months I bet we will be successful...

You have to realize that not all will come because of what happened to one member (but it will help.) They will come because they want to...

So, let us help them want to... Who's with me!

Cheers,
RH

No, that wasnt directed to you at all, just a passing thought for the guys who do know what happened over there. Of course just because I feel that way doesnt mean everyone should.
You also are a huge contributor in more ways than one to this hobby through your efforts to obtain motors, deveoping the TT, etc etc. regardless of criticism. I dont know you but I do watch posts.
THis board does move a little slower but its picked up a bit lately...More that spread the word the better.....Thats all

Id love to but Im on really thin ice as it is, just got back from another stint at camp. I can guarantee they would ban over that the way things have been going. For my own reasons I do want to be able to hit C4Tech/Gen occasionally.
All my Z stuff wil be here though.

hi folks and happy new year.

sorry to hear about jeff but he is MORE than welcome here an always has great assistance for the ZR-1 owners.

the bad news is that he's banned on CF, the good news is that maybe we can entice him to post here more often.

reminder, 07 is coming to a close, please take some time and renew your membership. the new red shirts look great!!

thanks for your participation, it's what makes the club so much fun.

I guess over 1,000 posts isn't good enough

I'm not expecting all to bail on the CF just because of me, but just a fair warning... The moderators are going to be swinging heavy axes for quite a while, and there are two new moderators hanging out in the C4 sections. Mr Mojo stayed out of the ZR-1 section and lets us have our ways. Posting specific ZR-1 stuff for sale and basically letting us take care of our own. That will not happen anymore.

It would be nice if in peoples reply to posts on the CF they would include a link to the registry and note saying you will get your best answer there.
