Dom I think it all is an oversized jettedvHolly 4555.
I had the engine rebuilt and the carb done by Mike in New Mexico I forget his last name but he is a NCRS judge.
The car is one great handling car. It handles better than my 68 C3 big block.

Nelson,

Would love to see it some time. Loved the original LT-1. Of course I had no idea how valuable this car would be. I bought my 72 Coupe for $4400 including tax.
The stock LT-1 carb was a Holley 780. What did they use for the ZR?[/QUOTE]

LT5; is just an engine code, it has nothing to do with our car specifically. If you want to get technical the first GM Quad overhead cam engine was built in the 60's for Oldsmobile. Take a look at the photo and tell me that doesn't look like the prototype ZR-1 engine.

ZR1; Stands for Zora Racing 1, C3, C4, C6 and C7 model Corvette have had a King, It is and always will be known as the baddest Corvette for that generation.

So, With all that being said, Our cars are still Corvettes "Just More So".

Our cars wont be worth anything until "WE"show they have heritage and Racing lineage.

Just my opinion.
Nice find Robert, I never knew about the Oldsmobile motor.

Here's a link to one of my favorite YouTube channels. He does a decent job other than saying the front tires are 235😜

When I am at a show or any Vet gathering I point out that LT-5 looks like a real engine, the others look like a tupper ware party. That usually shuts them up.
