What's the deal with Dunn heads? I hear they flow better....So does it up the HP?

If I'm going to pay 70 K for a C4 Z that thing better be 500 HP....

There is no discernible performance difference with the Dunn heads. Just a different manufacturer. The Birmal foundry, which had been making the production LT5 heads since the beginning, notified MerCruiser in 1992 it was going out of business so Dunn was selected as a replacement, bought Birmal's tooling, made a few changes to resolve some quality problems and proceeded to make the last ones needed. Some '95 cars have one of each. Just an extra story to tell. Some gullible buyers think there is some magical power increase but that is not the case. Anthony Young's "Heart of the Beast" discusses this, as do a few other publications. --Bob

Yes, I see a few 95s for sale and they stress Dunn heads...I'm like, there's real no difference in power,if there is, I doubt it has any seat of the pants feel..
