The Viper is in the top 10 for american made parts content, I believe it is 85% if I remember what I read correctly.

the viper isn't even close to ferrari or lamborgini

Saying a Viper is the same as a Ferrari is the same as saying a Chrysler 300 is the same as a Bentley. Ah, no it"s not.

Bentley and Lamborghini are owned by Volkswagen!
Ferrari and Chrysler are owned by Fiat!
Rolls Royce is owned by BMW!

I would really advice staying away from both of these cars if you would not be doing most of the work on them yourself. Especially the z unless you live near one of the few shops that specializes in them.

I don't know about Vipers, but anyone comfortable working on cars can/should be able to handle a ZR-1. Every car has idiosyncrasies. This community can help with any problems that arise.

But, if you aren't comfortable working on cars, maybe you should steer clear of a ZR-1 (if you don't live near a ZR-1 expert).

Why am I sensing some hate on the Viper? Are most of you of the mindset that the 1995 ZR-1 is better overall than the 2016-17 ACR Viper? No disrespect but it seems many of you are Haters of the recent Viper. Why? I'm no huge Viper fan nor am I a hard core Corvette enthusiast but the 2017 Viper is one of the most valued and sought after Sports cars in the world today. Am I wrong? If so, why?
