The C4 Gathering 2018
Plenty of advance notice. No Excuses!
The C4 Gathering 2018 in Bowling Green, KY is confirmed by the NCM: Wed May 16, 2018 to Sat May 19, 2018. It worked out very well this year, so we are aiming for Go Karting on Thursday, May 17, 2018 and the MotorSports Track on Friday, May 18, 2018. Other activities we will fill in as the time gets closer. Last edited by tf95ZR1; 06-21-2017 at 04:05 PM. Reason: Wanted 2 |

Re: The C4 Gathering 2018
Just marked the dates on my calendar.
Now lets hope there is no major work conflict like this year...

The 25 mile caravan ride to Frnklin for BBQ on Thursday nite was very well received - so we'll try for that again. (It was fun to see ~ 30ish Vettes in a line, cruising the expressway to the "Oasis"!) As mentioned, the Motor Sports Park (high speed) touring laps are popular. The go carting was a big success - participants had a ball The presentations and videos were well received (Doug Rippy's segment on the insides of the ZR-1 racing was quite...revealing!) And, there's talk of an NCM Track-X event and Autocross. All in all 2017 was a very good gathering, and well attended. There were some last minute changes - there always are: additions and deletions out of our control. Tho having a complete agenda as early as the first of the year would be ideal, a certain amount of fluidity remains up to and even during the Gathering - some details don't get filled in until check in time. But, the big pieces - dates and major activities - are in place, AND seeing old friends and meeting new ones is the real attraction. "It's the PEOPLE", as Kevin says, that is the main attraction! So, for those that missed it, you missed a "goodun!" Hope this early heads-up helps everyone get ready, mark your calendars! Next gathering: Carlisle!! August 24-27th. THAT is a Vette cruise-in to end all! New and old, un-molested and wildly modified and everywhere in between! The scale boggles the mind! But, as always, its the comradery within the Club - in the setting of a grand exhibition - that is the biggest attraction of all..

Re: The C4 Gathering 2018
Robert, I'll check out both. Of course, this was a rhetorical question.
You know the issues. If I can find an opening, we'll need the numbers to put up the $$ PRIOR so the club isn't left with the bill when only 6 cars show up for an event. |

Joe, I am not doing anything to the GS, She has an 8 yr./56K mile bumper to bumper. If the new ZR1 has a LT5 I am going to buy one, If it has a bigger supercharger I will buy a C6 ZR-1. Quote:
Ted, Autocross is $20.00 a car paid for by participants, Drag racing can be covered by donations and participants, Neither of which will cost the ZR-1 Net Registry members anything.
