Default Photo of Stock Wheels (rims) for C4 ZR1s

What do the Stock wheels (rims) look like for 90', 91', 92', 93', 94', and 95' ZR-1s?

Are the 90' wheels (rims) what we call Saw Blades? Have since found out from Crabs that these are called Salad Shooters on the 90'
Are the 91's the same through 93'? Have since found out from Crabs that these are called Saw Blades with the 93' being machined
Are the 94's and 95's the same? Have since found out these are called A-Molds

And even though the Stock Rims may look different by years can I assume all Stock Rims are interchangeable for ALL Years 1990-1995? Have since found out ......YES......ALL Years (1990-1995) Stock Rims are interchangeable

Or what??? Have since found out from Craig
1990 ZR-1 and 1990 Standard...................1991-1992 ZR-1..........................1993 ZR-1...................................1994-1995 ZR-1
..........................................

Have also determined only the 94'-95' A-Molds will clear C5-Z06 with Wilwood Rotors Brake Conversions
Have since found out from WVZR-1 Stock A-Molds have JWL in the 2nd window clockwise

Also......I think the Front Salad Shooters on a 1990 ZR-1 (LT-5) are a bit different than the Front Salad Shooters on a 1990 (L98)?? Have since found out from Crabs the Front Salad Shooters are Identical on the 1990s

Thank you.....thank you.......thank you for all the detailed Information

The offsets they're listing for 84-87 are wrong. They were all +36mm, both front and rear.

Cliff:

'90's are "Salad Shooters"
'91-92 are "Painted SawBlades"
'93 are "Machined SawBlades"
'94-95 are "A Molds"

All years will fit All ZR1's.
I believe that A Molds will fit C5 brakes with proper adapters, SawBlades will not.
'90 ZR1 front Salad Shooters are identical to standard L98.

'88-89 Pilot cars came with ZR1 offset/width Salad Shooters with Caps, no exposed lug nuts.

'Crabs
I was confused calling the "Salad Shooters"......"Saw Blades"
Those 91s, 92s, and 93's even look like saw blades.....thank you

And I was thinking A-Molds were After Market thinking and Saw Blades were standard 94' and 95'

WOW.....was I confused.....thanks guys.....appreciate the great information and Nomenclature

It appears on my 95' I have stock wheels (rims) which are A-Molds

As an aside.......I have Wilwood Rotors (C5-Z06 Calipers) on my 95' which I figured happened to fit since I had A-Molds which I thought were After Market. Now it appears C5-Z06 with Stock A-Molds works fine on a 95'.

I know the "Salad Shooters" that were Stock on a 1990 nor "Saw Blades" that were Stock on a 1991-1992 would not work with C5-Z06 and Wilwood Rotors. I am not sure if I have After Market A-Molds on a 1990/1991 or Stock A-Molds from a 94' or 95'.

I have A Molds on my 91...so it's safe to assume they are interchangeable.

If your '90/'91 wheels have the JWL in the 2nd window clockwise from the valve stem then they're OE/GM. If there is no JWL then they're after-market. You should be able to "eye-ball" one to the other for confirmation!

On the wheel back-sides: 11" would have 10214047/AFS/JPN, 9 1/2" would have 10214046/AFR/JPN

The information in this link has no errors regarding widths and offsets - your thoughts are "flawed"!

Ami......yes.....me too........I have A-Molds on everything that has front brakes converted to C5-Z06 Front Calipers with Wilwood Rotors as that is required because Saw Blades will touch the C5-Z06 Calipers (about 1/4 inch interference). After Market Chrome A-Molds on a 91' and Painted Stock A-Molds on a 95' both work with C5-Z06 with Wilwood Rotors Conversions.

See Item #13 ZR-1 (90' and 91') Wilwood Rotors and C4 to C5-Z06 Conversion

13. Wheel Dimensions that will fit on this brake Set-Up.

This would be the limit of a wheel inner dimensions which would fit/clear the C5-Z06 Brake Caliper Set-UP.
Rather than try to measure the offset and the maximum radius of the Caliper it was easier just to measure the A-Mold wheel which just clears the spokes as well as the C5-Z06 Caliper outer radius as shown below. I would say this is Minimum Clearance. The clearances of this Set-Up is on the order of 1/4 inch on spoke and 1/8 inch on wheel inner radius so very close. There is slop in the Caliper pins riding in the bracket so this clearance is definitely required.

14. Will this brake Set-Up work with Stock Sawblades.

I measured a stock Sawblade wheel and found the inside diameter of Saw Blade Rims is about identical to A-Mold Rims at the two critical locations of the Calipers. I also measured the spoke Offset from the Hub and found it to be .75 inch as compared to 1 inch for A-Molds. When installing the Sawbade wheel the spoke of the Sawblade JUST came into contact with the C5 Z06 Caliper as shown. In other words I would say the offset of the stock Sawblade wheel is 1/4 inch short of what would be required (3/4 inch vrs 1 inch).

It would be easy to place a 1/4 inch spacer on the Hat of the Wilwood Rotor but you would then be 1/4 inch shorter on the stud length for the wheel nuts which you end up with 1/4 inch less than the bit over 1/2 inch threaded contact now (as I view my Hubs with the Wilwood Rotors installed with Hats).

I love my saw blades, just wish they were in nicer shape. Does anyone know by chance, the weights of all the wheels? Were the '94 -95's lighter?
