I have an upper support that's inked as a '90 with the plug and on the back-side it's ID'd as an RE10 - I ain't knocking it out to measure the hole and I might try to ID RE another time.
OP - you've got the hole how about a dimension? If you GOOGLE - "button hole plug" OR "flush plug button" you'll be presented with 100's of choices. I believe those very likely a correct very generic application description. In town "local" I'd think there's likely nearly a dozen choices - maybe more. There was a 1" GM# 4410574 that if were dimensionally correct looks to be maybe either the plug or very similar. Of course it's NLA so .... That's the only "rubber" I've seen part #'d. I found my plug at 20th Street Auto. Ask for Larry (800) 999-4911 X1003 or email partsdept@20thstreetauto.com. Mine was pulled from a standard C4 junker that I spotted online with the hood open.
