I'm satisfied for my first time out, but I need to work on my technique.
13.1sec @ 110.5mph isn't bad but I think I can do much better.

Dom, let me know if you want to go again I can use the practice.

Here's a linky to a few pic's I snaped...

Hans,

Very cool. I think I counted over 192 valves and 24 cams in one of those pics. I plan on checking my injectors in the next few days. Your car ran well for first time out.
If it looks like nice weather in the next few weekends, I'll let you know about going out again.

Pete,

I'm in for dyno days especially if its in West Chicago. Right down the street from Jeff and me. We could find a good place for lunch too.

-DRM 415 package:
*63mm TB
*Open lid/K&N
*extrude hone plenum/IH....only smoothes things out, and diameter is slightly larger than stock, not the 36mm of a full port. I measured, and port is about 34.5MM
*Generic DRM chip

-Watson headers

-Borla Challenge: removed resonator..magnaflow X-Pipe

-4:09 gears....don't know that these help I have to get into 4th to complete the QTR

I wonder if a short shifter might help with the extra shifts. Will probably port to 36MM this winter.

XfireZ51:

Don't worry - you likely did gain a couple mph from the headers. I think the density altitude was worse than we all thought. I checked the weather when I got home - temps were 70-75 degrees with baro of 29.7-29.8". Not exactly sterling weather conditions. We also had a bit of a headwind to contend with, plus I suspect Byron is using a light system for their traps that probably reads a little low - like 1-2mph. My 421 ZR was running 124mph & I've done as high as 129 before. My ETs were on target @ 11.0s, but alot of guys seemed to be off on the trap speed. Whenever looking at your gains, it's critical to check for comparable weather conditions or you might mis-calculate. I remember an old '94 Formula that I used to bracket race. It's times varied as much as 0.9sec on the ETs and 6mph trap speed going from humid 90+ summer days to clear crisp 50 deg fall days with high pressure barometer readings. I'll bet your car is fine and your headers worked.

KC,

There definitely was something off on the trap speeds. I saw ETs in the 12s with a 92mph trap. And my 1/8 mph was 4mph less in the right lane than in the left, but my 1/4times and trap were better. Go figure.
