I purchased a 1991 Quasar Blue/Black #729 4 weeks ago. 100% stock. 34,000 miles. One owner. Everything works perfectly except high brake light and back up lights. Possibly someone here may know it's original owner, Auggie Burns. Big fan and always attended BG events. He even has the ZR-1 LT5 pinball machine in his Corvette man cave. He may have had the car in judging/show events earlier in its life. I had the brake and clutch fluid flushed and changed and all other fluids topped off. The wife and I are off to vacation with it next week to NC and TN. I would like to meet other Z owners in north/central region of FL. PM me. Two questions.
My car has the original arrowhead wiper blades. Are Trico Exact Fit 20-2 what I need for the small pin arms? Or is 18 better? What is the rarity of this car? How many Quasars? She is not a DD for me but I am not a waxer. I expect to drive it 3-4K annually. Her stable mate is a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C replica. BB428 4 speed. Much faster than the Z, even violent. Super fun. 17,300 miles For Sale PM me if interested. |

The pics in my phone failed to up load. I do not know why I get electronically challenged. I had no idea that Quasar Blue Was that that rare. 1.68% only. I expect to chip it to keep it cool and get the timing and fuel adjusted. I shall keep it stock. I have had my fun with a modded car, it's stable mate. More maintenece and $$ required!

Welcome to the Forum and the Brotherhood of the ZR-1. I have 1993 Quasar Blue #161. I have been maintaining a Quasar Blue ZR-1 data base for 9 years and your QB is new to my list, so thanks for posting. I have at least some information on 40 of the 75 QB's made in 1991.
Yes, the Trico Exact Fit 20-2 is what I have been using. Jim Last edited by QB93Z; 09-24-2016 at 09:13 AM. Reason: add info |

That is funny Xfire. At 58 with three hunks of titanium and 22 screws in me it is not as enjoyable working on cars as it used to be. Now if I had a lift that may be different!
