Default Carfax

Does anyone have an "unlimited" subscription to Carfax or access to GM databases? I would like to find out the original color of an early base C4 based on the VIN (RPO sticker is missing), and I think that either source can provide interior and exterior colors. Thanks!

Scott

Kevin,

Thanks, but I should have clarified that I'm considering to buy and wanted to confirm paint and trim colors for originality. Someone suggested that GM dealers can confirm that for me with the VIN, so I'm going to try to do that tomorrow.

If the car has the "metal trim tag" like linked to on the other forum your fine. If it doesn't the trip to the dealership isn't going to help.

guys I would not rely on carfax information too much. I know for a fact about several cars that were involved in crashes, repaired at dealerships and carfax never indicated these cars were involved in accidents. Carfax is nice to look over but dont think it is the actual history of a particular car. take it with a grain of salt...

If you want you can give me the full VIN and I will run it but the CarFax does not seem to include colors or trim--I just ran my former 95 to check. --Bob

Bob,

Thanks, but the seller just told me that it was a repaint... which is a deal=breaker for me in this case. I appreciate the offer though!

I've been telling people this for years. The information is only there if somebody puts it in the system.
