Default INFL RST Code 16

Well I have been through INFL troubleshooting section here, cleaned the frame under the drivers side sensor, tried clearing the codes with Cliff's tool and no joy. I then replaced the sensor, tried clearing the codes again, same deal. According to the FSM, my next step is to replace the DERM. I picked up a low mileage DERM on Ebay, how ugly is this job? I assume the DERM is up behind the radio, so it should be fun

before you tear the dash apart, clean the connections on the yellow wires
right and left under the carpet outboard in the footwells.
sometimes just disconnecting and reconnecting does the trick.

When I pulled the connectors apart to replace the sensor the connector did not appear to be corroded in any way and appeared bright and shiny.

The few I've been involved with looked fine too.
Maybe some electronic contact cleaner would help?
Also clearing the code is a bitch, could be the problem?
You need some luck to get it 1st, 2nd or even 3rd try.

I'll have to give it a try with contact cleaner. I have tried resetting with a Tech1 and Cliff's tool. I'd do anything before I resort to replacing this DERM but I don't have a good feeling. I had this problem about a year ago and cleaned the frame contact area under the sensor and the code reset fine but not this time.
