Well the 380 roared to life today! A big thanks to Phil who came by this morning to give me a hand with final details and moral support when it was finally time to hit the key. Thanks to the whole WAZOO crew who have been there over the past few months to give me a hand with this project! Now I am ready for BG!

Congratulations!!! I can imagine how it feels.
Hopefully coming Saturday we can meet up at the cars & coffee, weather permitting.

Well had an almost disastrous setback on the new motor a few weeks ago. Shortly after startup, had a drastic fall off of oil pressure and shut her down and have been confiring with WAZOO to decide what it could be. Decided to drop the oil pan and found a chewed up oil gallery cup plug from the rear most crank throw laying on the windage tray. Apparently the plugs were not replaced by the machine shop (I should have checked them) and between the crank grinding and heat treating, the plugs had lost all their tension. Spent last weekend replacing ALL my crank plugs and I now have normal oil pressure again, thank GOD! As they say, assumpton is the mother of all F'kup's, BIG lession learned for me. Luckly, no damage incurred and I am now ready for BG!!
