I guess it wouldn't make sense to swap out what I have for 94-96 mats since they wouldn't be the correct ones either. At least I know much better what to keep an eye out for. Thanks!

The GM # 12362168 part number was cataloged for all years '88 - '93 but even in the catalog they mentioned that the binding and finish had been "upgraded" to the '94+ OEM standards. Of course the part number was also listed for the '94+ cars with "no notes". This was a problem with the consumer many years ago. A reseller that isn't or wasn't familiar with that information might actually NOT know.
There was a production "pair" for the '90 - '93. GM # 12341098 had applications for code both 10I and 19I interior codes. An earlier number for that package was 12340147, this number I believe would be correct for everything without the "heel pad" and the 12341098 likely for the '92 & '93 that maybe had the "heel pad". Every time I've seen these for sale they always mention '84 - '88 and I don't understand that. I see there are some of those available on eBay. I don't recall single sides except for '87 and earlier cars. Last edited by WVZR-1; 08-21-2014 at 07:26 PM. |
