Default Poll: Mercury Marine Event!

Mercury Marine has extended an invitation for the ZR-1 community to attend a private tour of the Mercury Marine manufacturing facility and MMRacing Museum in Fond du Lac, WI.

for a "Gathering of Eagles", as it were, to tour their plant and their museum and attend a BBQ on a weekday in August of our choice.

Several have expressed interest, so the next step is to have a show of hands and to pick a date!

So, please respond to the poll, and indicate if you would be bringing your Z (or more than one, be you so lucky!). At the moment, word of mouth has it there may be as many as 5-7 people and nearly as many cars - which would be great!

This is a chance for those of us in the area to meet and greet before the season ends. So! Please indicate if you would like to attend and when (in August) it would work best. We'll want to pick a date ASAP so everyone can rearrange their schedules, as needed to attend.

Oh, and thank Dominic for putting this together!! I'm thinking it has the potential of becoming an annual thing, perhaps??

Paul.

Paul,

Given that we have both Carlisle and Labor Day in the last 2 weeks of August, I'm wondering if we should not consider an early September date?

Ok guys. I am going to pick a date in September. August is almost upon us. We have Carlisle and Labor Day plus end of summer vacas. I think September may work best. Very likely looking at a Friday. I'll communicate that w MMR and see what the response is.

Just got word from Mercury Marine that either Sept. 12th or the 19th work for them. So now who can make it?

So far I can make either of those dates although my daughter is due to have her first child around that week. So I will plan on it but may have a last minute problem. --Bob

Far as I know, either works for me!

(We should revise the poll to reflect those new dates, methinks, so as to narrow in on one of them.)

Paul,

It looks like those who can come can make it both days, so let's just pick one.
Unless there's some violent opposition, let's make it the 19th. I can let MMR know, and then finalize plans with them.

I think we could have

Paul Workman
Dominic
Pete
Ghlkal
Bob G.
Warp Ten
Marc Haibeck

Be great to have a total of 10 cars or more. Brett said he would like to come also. Lgaff possibly.
=Jeff=? Anyone else?
