Glad to hear you made it home, Joe. No other reoccurance of the fuel problem on the way home?

I got to Dayton, Ohio and was getting off the freeway. The car sputtered and I limped it into the gas station. I put ten gallons of fuel in the car and fired it back up. No other issues the rest of the way home, however I did stop every 100 miles and topped it off again. Strangest thing, but we'll get it worked out.

Joe,

Just an FYI, but I ran out of fuel on the way down and got some gas in lower part of Indiana. Car ran a bit rough. Then I pumped some Shell near the I-65 interchange for the hotel. Car ran great and nearly 25mpg at 75+on the way home. Pulled the plugs and you could see they're using some different additives.

I think I need to check out my pumps, I have a feeling I am on borrowed time with them with all the replacements i have seen/heard about

Sounds like a torn rubber hose between pump and sending unit ?
