Scott,

Thanks. That's exactly what I was talking about. As the strainers get clogged the pump works harder. I'd suggest this could be a reason for premature pump failures.

Yes, I have two of those in mine car now. BUT I also put in a switch to activate pump #2 at will such that if pump #1 fails I can get home using pump #2.
Way back when I first got the car in 97 I had pump #1 fail.
The symptom is the car starts fine but will only run about 30 seconds (until the pressure drops in the rail).

I noticed that also.....does not jive with his TAG.....
Oh...wait...the LT5 is NOT modified by the switch.....so he is still OK
Just some friendly ribbing

What is the source of these filters?
Thanks in advance

I notice two different filters on fuel pumps on right and identical filters on fuel pumps on left (the black rubber clip is missing).
I assume these filters on the left will not fall off?
I assume both filters except the bottom one on right are kept on solely by friction fit of metal cup on the plastic?

+1 there...

DO stay away from AirTech.

I put one in my '98 GMC, against others' advice on GMC boards (because I keep tank FULL - which IS supposed to make a difference), and it failed post 2 years < 10k miles.

What the HELL is your problem
Kidding...... ha

Many that have been around since the 90s know that I have MANY mods to my car. In fact I pioneered some and ALL are well documented in my FSM. To be sure all are easily removed except the Corsa exhaust. I kept the original exhaust. Again, there's nothing wrong with mods or even trashing the car if you want to. Talking others, especially newbies, into doing the same without presenting alternatives is what I have an objection to. And I sure want to be able to use "I disagree...." or for the more sensitive folks "I beg to disagree..." or "I humbly disagree...." etc. when I want to present those alternatives.

It's all about respect, giving and receiving.
