Default WTB A/C Compressor for my 91'

Any suggestions on buying a new unit?

My Turbo Car's compressor froze and it ate the clutch. Luckily have have a new clutch...

Thanks,
Ron

Ron,
Not a bad deal for a NOS.
I picked one up a while back to have on hand.

Are you doing a 134 conversion ? The sticker on the backside states 134a not sure if the plumbing will be the same. GC

Daryl,

Yep, going to 134. I'll be installing the oversize valve stems like I did on my 90 (that I use to have.)

It also looks like the same compressor is used on various other applications. The connection area is removable and replaceable with the type needed for specific applications so I'm not too worried.

Cheers,

I noticed when I had r134a the head pressure was greater and you notice it in the car driving

when I replaced the compressor and condenser I went back to R12..

Yep very true. I will stick with R12 its way colder than any 134a system I've ever owned. After just redoing my entire AC system that suck gets down to the 50s even in 115 AZ heat

I've had good luck with the 134 so I'm staying with it...

You could always rebuild your compressor. I rebuilt mine. It is in these pictures somewhere.
