Few problems on a 1990 ZR1
Hello everyone,
i have few minor issues on my new '90 ZR1 that need a little bit help 1) the climate control sometimes does not illuminate. For example, when i turn it off, the "off green light" shows but at one point it does not appear anymore and it start again after a period; same thing for the "auto green light". Is it normal ? 2) ive run the car hard today just on a portion of road and ive reach only 94mph on third at 6500rpm. ive read that max speed on third at 7000 should be 116. Do i have to worry about something ? i have other issues also but i will make a video this week-end, it will be more helpful Thanks |

Do you have a field service manual? (FSM)
Sometimes help comes in the form of referring to a specific page in the manual.

Re: Few problems on a 1990 ZR1
It is a known issue on all C4's with the automatic climate control that the button contacts should be disassembled and cleaned as well as the electrical header on the main plug.
not your issue, but also want to mention that the operation of the early vs late programming on the chip is also different. I can't get a/c on the straight vent button on my 91, but it works all day long when auto is selected. My 95 worked a/c on any vent selection. |
