You sure do stay busy working on your Corvettes.

Please keep me posted on that tensioner testing (not sure if I want the billet or polished look yet).

You know that I live in two places (Japan and Hawaii) with land being premium cost and real estate like yours is only a dream.

It has been raining a lot here lately so I stay in shed with tools (one tool chest SAE and one tool chest METRIC), tractors, trucks (and other farm machinery) and corvettes

I like Billet as it is less chrome looking and matches all of Carter's machine work which is in Aluminum. Carter's TB Engraving is howerver polished which fits in with the Billet look as you can see on that newly Painted Plenum.

I agree with the billet look too. I only have a few chromed or polished item on my LT5 too.

Cam Covers back on (The easy way with SS Allen Head Bolts) and Belt tensioner installed with belt

Will connect stock exhaust back up and fire it up tomorrow.....then convert to SW exhaust system a bit later.
Installing C-Frame braces from ZFdoc tomorrow before installing the exhaust.

Then the Top Secret Coolant installation assuring the water pump will not cavitate. The Top Secret method was developed and tested a month ago on the 91' ZR1. It involves some lung capacity not to give it away This Top Secret Coolant installation is especially required since I have TB coolant blocked on this top end restoration. Did add new vacuum canisters and SS oil cooler lines also along with the new Ignition coils, plugs and plug wires

Also replaced Control Valve Linkage each side Control Valve Linkage - New as old linkage was loose at the fittings and sticky at each pivot joint. Added just a bit of white greese to each small ball joint.

Along with some experimental Bling Experimental Bling

Looks good Cliff! That alternator looks like AM too and billet? Let us know how the pulleys do after you put some 8K rpm runs on it.

It appears they do not have one for the 1990 ZR1 yet.....

I removed the cam covers without removing the brake booster. A little trick is to have the C-Frame set aside and a hydraulic jack under the transmission (with engine mounting bolts loosened). This allows you to raise and lower the rear of the LT5 instantly as you lower it to remove drivers side rear two lower cam cover bolts and raise rear of LT5 to gain clearance between passenger side cam cover and screw on fire wall.

To install Cam Covers without removing Brake Booster you have to place those two drivers side lower Cam Cover Bolts in the Cam Covers before you position the Cam Cover.

Cliff, the part number I showed for the oil filter is for our cars and now showing application on their site yet.

I was wondering about your alternator itself that looked different in the photos. I'm still following up with the billet alternator I'm purchasing. I have Randy Woods full underdrive pulley set myself and they are awesome.....I guess everything and anything from the Woods' family are awesome.
