C4 GrandSport caliper - $300
I've a pair of NOS C4 GM GrandSport that if you're not into the "big brake"/"big wheel" thing could be of interest. I'd prefer a USPS "insured" ship and if you'd like that also add the cost of what ever insurance you'd prefer. A standard ship would be 1st class w/delivery confirmation. Check, M/O or PayPal using the personal tab. USPS insured $500 is $7.40.
I have a pair of my own that have never been installed either, I may sell them as well. If you're in NOVA we could maybe work out a "meet"! Here's an older pictorial of the differences between the standard J55 and the GS calipers: http://www.superchevyperformance.com...4calipers.html These are in sealed boxes - if you'd like snapshots before the buy you'll need to ask for a snapshot. A person should be able to recover a good portion of the expense with the resale of their J55's. If you're interested in the "EXPORT" tail lamps also maybe we could work a "package price"! The lamps are here: http://zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?...ghlight=export Last edited by WVZR-1; 05-10-2013 at 09:23 AM. |

If you'd like these in BG find a NOVA/WAZOO "volunteer" to carry them and I'll see that they get them.

$720 shipped and insured USPS. If you would rather FEDEX or UPS I'll need to reconsider. That's 1st class with confirmation, I've found that travels as quickly as Priority Mail generally.
I can point you towards a socket solution if you do the buy. |

Re: C4 GrandSport caliper - $300
Do the Grandsport(Z16) and the Collectors Edition(Z15) both run these calipers that say "CORVETTE" on the them?
$300 is a decent price, not sure what the Z16 calipers are worth, but compared to new J55's it seems very fair. GLWS peace Hog. |

Re: C4 GrandSport caliper - $300
with the wider throat, is the rotor thicker? or does it just 'breathe' better?

Rotors and the balance of the hardware remains the same. There's no difference in "breathing" - theoretically the caliper is stouter and there's substantially less "flex" in the caliper itself. I've never used the two in an application where I could or would be able to remark about them. There are those that have and probably a couple here on the forum.

Re: C4 GrandSport caliper - $300
I still have the calipers available. I'm doing a Baltimore trip tomorrow if there's interest there I can likely deliver. I travel I70 to US40 through town to Johns Hopkins. If your west of Baltimore on I70 shouldn't be a problem.
