Default Re: Water pump or hose? Thoughts.

Still waiting for the water pump to arrive. So I spent some time cleaning parts and surfaces and noticed that some of the water pump bolts had some type of thread sealant on them. I looked in the service manual and it did not note to use any thread sealant. Should I use something? If so what? Also not all of the bolts had evidence of the thread lock. Thanks.

Clean the bolts (I use a quick once over on a wire brush) and use Blue Loctite. Use a torque wrench at about 19 ft-lbs (go all the way around upping the torque each time untill you get to 19 ft-lbs).
