As you mentioned, they're not orientated like the banjo's. So they do need to be tightened with no twist.

The main reason I went to stainless was cause I was hearing about too many people at the road tracks having the rubber ones blow out of the swag end, probably from heat, so I don't think it's an issue on the street. Probably more about whether you want it to look original or not.

Re: GS calipers
Most of us, daily drivers included have already upgraded the brake lines, oil cooler lines etc because its a smart mod to do. I wish GM had done the same during production like the rest of the stainless lines already in the engine compartment. Reguardless thats what Aftermarket business are all about filling the void.
Nice upgrade. SS is always the WTG. GC

Re: GS calipers
96 GS calipers bolt on, have the same piston dia and use the same pads as OE 90-95 ZR1.
GM told media prior to the 96 going on sale that the GS brake caliper was more robust in the caliper bridge area and, thus, spread less when high loads occured to to heavy braking. I've never been able to ascertain if that's true, but the GS calipers look stronger and that's why I have a set of them on the front of my 95.
