I will give Corey a call on the Headers, When you are ready to sell the Calipers let me know.

I'm curious what kind of power you're expecting when this monster is complete? Is it going to be NA or are any power adders planned (as if they were needed)?

I'll be happy with a fat torque curve and a solid 500 hp at the wheels.

Wow, Phil that sounds and looks awesome. I wish I could get a hold of the 90 for sale in Hawaii (dealer wants too much and the car is a trashed beyond restoration) that I want to use as a parts car then I would want to build another motor like this. Thanks for sharing. Craig

Hey folks, I thought it was time to share what we all have planned for our Zs in 2013. I'm on my arse and was supposed to do some of these in 2012, but somehow other priorities too precedence and it never happened. Some of my plans are dependent on if I am moving back to Hawaii in a few months, but none the less, here are my plans:

1. Remove power antenna and install tune trapper stealth unit under rear tray; plug hole for now until I can shave hole with new paint job (on the shelf, need to find plug and paint)
2. HID headlight conversion (on the shelf)
3. Install DRM coilover suspension with new FX3 shocks and Banski complete C4 rear kits (waiting for DRM kit, Carter brackets, and Banski set-up)
4. Install C5 mirrors (on the shelf and already painted color matched)
5. Replace steering wheel with Momo competition and install NRG hub quick release/lock (on the shelf)
6. Make Christmas wreath for next year out of stock steering wheel once removed (XMas 2013)
7. Put SW headers back on and install new SW X pipe w/Dynomax Ultraflo 17220 (single 3" in/out) and Pypes Challenger tips (on the shelf)
8. Autometer dual gauge pillar mount with wide band A/F and fuel pressure gauges (have mount, need gauges)
9. Repair/replace two front speakers that are not working

Just an updated to add 2 more items that I just ordered today from www.vette2vette.com:

10. 86-96 C4 No Flex Frame Stiffener Bar System
11. 90-93 Steering Column Housing Support w/new pivot pins

I added the oversized pins to the column last year, but it is not doing the trick and I'm not happy about the movement. I also want to stiffen up the chassis if possible and another while I'm at it install when I do the coilovers, etc.

I feel to really maximize the total performance of that engine build it will need to be deployed into the proper car. I have done some extensive research and all the data points to a 95 black ZR-1 in NJ. I'll put you in contact with the owner (real nice guy!) Thanks for the engine porn

Had me drooling...right up to the part about the exhaust system. Unless Borla has come up with a higher flow system than what was on my 350 LT5. No resonance, but things like the twin tubes in the resonator being less than 2" in diameter, in and out, and the muffs with similar restrictions.

For that kind of HP, you might want to think about a 3" system, e.g., the Watson or SW headers w/ 1-7/8 - 2" primaries (respectively), the 3" SW X-pipe, and the Dynamax 3" in/twin 2" outlet muffs and either a vacuum or an electric "flapper".

For the 350-368 LT5s, Mark has good things to say about Corsa. However, applicability to a big inch LT5 gives me pause, as the FBI gang seems to favor the (above) mentioned scenario for the big inch motors (e.g.,Bob G; 427, Kevin C; 441, Al D; 441, Dominic S; "500" pkg 350, my "500" pkg 350 (soon as I can get over to Al's to have the muffs installed)

Just a thought.

P.
