SW Header Question
Does anyone out there have experience with SW Headers? I was ready to have the Z dropped off and have my system installed, when I noticed there were no bungs to plug O2 sensors into. Is this common? Am I supposed to remove the sensors and just have them deleted in the prom? I had planned to run from the headers directly to my Flowmaster cat-back with no cats. What would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance, Lawdawg.

Re: SW Header Question
Bungs should be installed. If they are not, it's not that big of a deal to install them. And you can actually mount them in better places to protect the wires.

Re: SW Header Question
Thanks for the information, problem solved. Scott at SW advised me that the bungs should have been installed. He is having UPS pick them up from me so that they may be added.

Re: SW Header Question
Are you going to install them yourself, or did you find a shop who will do the install?

Re: SW Header Question
I found a little place here in the west palm area that specializes in custom exhaust. I've been told they do a fine job and are very meticulous. They have professionally licensed welders on site and the eqiupment to conduct all necessary bending. I was quoted around $600 for the complete exhaust install, which seems comparable to what others I know have paid. I'm really looking forward to gettting this thing sounding vicious. Thanks again for the input.

Re: SW Header Question
You may want to consider this header install kit for them to use.
http://www.zr1products.com/products.html Also this write up explains the step by step procedure another member used when installing his. http://www.pnwzr1.net/header_install_nick.htm Since you are not all that far away, we will have to try and get a few S. Florida members together soon for a ride. Jano will be flying into Miami on the 14th of Feb and be in the area for around a week. Though I will be on a cruise starting the 15th, we might all be able to hook up right after I get back if you have the time. |
