MB Quart Goes Racing with the American Le Mans Series in 2005

ALMS Story 1-6-2005

Braselton, Ga. - Adding to the growing list of major new sponsorship and promotional initiatives for 2005, the ALMS has introduced MB Quart as its "Official Audio and Electronics" partner. As part of a multi-year agreement, MB Quart will feature the American Le Mans Series in its national advertising and promotional campaign. In addition, the premium maker of audio and electronics equipment will entertain its retailers and customers at ALMS events with on-track activities and customer interaction with ALMS drivers. This important announcement was made at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – the world's largest consumer electronics convention – in Las Vegas, NV.

The at-track exhibit will include last season's LMP2 class champion Miracle Motorsports ALMS race car along with the ever popular Mercedes C230 demo car complete with 14 speakers and 4000 watts of power. In addition MB Quart will also offer select retailers the ability to attend races at the VIP level which will include race tickets and access to the MB Quart hospitality area and provide them with the opportunity to attend the popular Panoz Driving School at Road Atlanta at the end of each year.

"MB Quart is a premium stereo and equipment company and chose to align strategically with the ALMS based on the high demographics of its audience both at track and on television," commented Brian Sherman, Brand Marketing Manager for MB Quart. "We are thrilled about this relationship and look forward to having an incredible first year with the world's greatest sports car racing series."

"It is with tremendous satisfaction and enthusiasm that we welcome a company of MB Quart's stature into our family of corporate partners," said Scott Duncan, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of the American Le Mans Series. "The ALMS platform will be central to MB Quart's marketing efforts which has been recognized as a perfect fit for their consumer audience and retailer entertainment endeavors. MB Quart's at-track presence will allow them to display its premium equipment and components to the extensive live audiences that the ALMS attracts over the course of the season. As the series continues to grow, we will continue to strive to produce results and return on investments that exceed expectations for all ALMS partners."

MB Quart is a division of Rockford Corporation in Tempe, Ariz., a publicly traded company under the NASDAQ stock symbol ROFO. Company websites can be viewed at MBQuart.com and rockfordcorp.com.
