Default Tightening Pan Bolts

Hey Guys,

I've read that removing the "K" bracing that hides some of the pan bolts is OK. I want to be sure that removing those 2 braces (pass & driver side) will not cause a structural problem?

Also, is there a particular tightening sequence to be followed?

Thanks.

No specific tightening sequence is needed, but you do want to get all bolts started before tightening any. It can be a little difficult to get all the holes lined up initially.

Talking Re: Tightening Pan Bolts

I'd start in the middle and go side to side towards the front and back. Should get a good seal that way.

You will need to remove the two heat shield nuts on each side and move the shields away to torque the back two on each side, they are studs holding the pan on.

Duhh, I just realized you were asking about tightening sequence of the pan bolts, not the brackets. Sorry for any confusion!
