Default placards, lifting and other things

Hi ho. I'm new and have a few questions and a couple of cents to boot. Frist, my '91 does not have the tire or loading placards on the inside of the drivers door. I will go to my grave believing the door is original and never painted but maybe somebody needs to slap me around abit? in any event, would someone have a nice digital photo of said '91 placards I can make into a decal? Second, can you lift the rear end by the diff? FSM dosent specifically say it CANT be done....havent yet but what do others do? ...and lastly....a members exclusive technical area is a good idea. People will appreciate and respect all the time and effort that others have done creating it....lookie-loos rarely change their spots. Seen alot in real estate, and vehicle sales.....thankx....make mine a double.

Default Re: placards, lifting and other things

I have a 91 but haven't noticed door stickers. Will try to notice if nobody else has handy (I'm at work alot these days - and the car is not).

You can lift by the diff - but it's not really close to the ground. For ideas there have recently been a couple of jack inserts appearing on the for-sale/wanted forum. If they're sold there were at least pics and/or links to the sourcing sites so you can see the technique.

Cheers,
- Jeff
