You are dead on with all your comments as usual. Reason I had my headers Jet-Coated were heat retention and cosmetic. As for factory heat shield, it still did not keep my wires from getting cooked. During the header install we repaired knock sensor wire, inspected O2 sensor wires, replaced and added flex conduits as needed and zip tied all away from the headers. Paul, I checked Megamat installed under the car last night. It was a little soft and gooey around the edge where foam/adhesive is exposed to the heat but still holding tenaciously. I will keep you informed. |

Here are some pictures of the MegaMat installation:
Yun first throughly cleaned the surfaces: The MegaMat can be cut with shears of heavy sissors. The adhesive side is VERY sticky. Do not let the adhesive surface touch anything. The roller shown in the picture worked well to shape the mat to the surface. Jim |
