Default Hood Latch release handle broken

I have a bud with a 91 that has a broken hood latch release (under the dash). How can this be fixed and how do you access under the dash to fix it if it is broken.

Also, how do you get the hood opened with this problem. Any pics on here to aid in this job.

Thanks

Zip Corvette and Corvette Central sell 'em too.
Basically it's a long handle that you are able to slide under the hood and release the latch.
Once it's open, it should be fairly obvious how to replace the handle.

Cable and handle will run about $100 or so, looks to be a fairly easy job.
Make sure to make an appointment with your chiropractor afterward.

Default Re: Hood Latch release handle broken

Got the latch out yesterday. The pin had come out. I think a new one will be ordered and the install won't be too bad. The whole job won't be as bad as it first appeared. Don't need to remove the seat either. 4 screws drops the panel out and then it was actually easier to lay on the ground next to it to get to the latch.

Thanks for the reply though.
