Default Stolen Car C1

Hi

I've just returned from another great weekend with friends at Corvette Fame in Valkenburg, Holland.
The weekend had a very sad start when a C1 was taken from a locked garage opposite our hotel. There were plenty of other Vettes parked all over Valkenburg that night yet they took this one that was locked away. Please look at the details below Thanks

In the night of July 8-9, 2011 a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette was stolen out of the garage of the Atlanta hotel in Valkenburg aan de Geul, Netherlands, where the owner, Piet Baggerman, resided awaiting the start of the international Corvette Fame meeting.
This sad news has been posted on several Dutch forums already, and the Dutch police has been informed as well.
All of us are very concerned that the Corvette will be, or has already been, exported to another country and will be offered for sale abroad.

The VIN of this car is J59S104971.

That car has probably been dismantled and and sold by now. That happened to a 1962 vette here. The owner had $160k into that car and it got stolen right here in Houston Texas. It turned up in Australia.

Valkenburg is very close to the Dutch border so certainly the car would have been out of the country very quickly. Personaly I think the car was taken to order and now resides in Russia or similar. However the owner has requested its details be passed around incase it gets shipped over seas.

If they were professionals those guys are good and work very quickly." Gone in 60 sec with Nicholas cage." I'll bet the owners heart just sank. But his insurance should cover it. Hopefully.
