Rear sway bar
Had my 90 serviced yesterday and asked that they check the suspension system. No problem, just 75K on car.
Mechanic said I need "rear sway bar links and bushings" and quoted $535 parts and labor. Is this a fair price? It is a local Chevy dealer. Thanks

Seems a bit steep to me, maybe others can chime in. I have those very parts on order, getting ready to do the job myself. The bushings total are about $30.00. I believe you need a press to get the upper link bushing pressed out of the sway bar, but not a reall difficult job. Rich

Re: Rear sway bar
Thanks. He mentioned that they had to press the bushings in/out. He said it was easier to just replace the links also. Let me know how you do with yours.
