Just got home....Will upload the video tomorrow but here is a picture of the wheelie! I think the secret ingredient was the E3 spark plugs

That is awesome! Haven't seen that since
Fastlane. Good thing your driveline components
held up.

Thanks for the kind words As promised, here is the video. I lined up against a pretty quick C3 Corvette who was running 7.20's all night long. I'm glad I lost to a fellow brother and not someone from the Ford camp! There were also several new GT Mustangs and Camaros running mid 8's.

When I finished the run, several people came over to look at the car and ask what i had. When they saw the ZR-1 badges, they all began to get excited. One guy knew alot about these cars and asked if I was willing to sell it lol.

I definitely need to work on my launch technique. If I can pull a 1.60 or 1.70 sixty foot, I might be able to get the car into the veeeery low 12's. I am salivating at the thought of a lightweight flywheel, ported IH and some skinny front tires!!!

Here's the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgtjSS6a60Q

G'nite

Nice driving.

From the looks of your MPH you should run 117-118 MPH in the 1/4.

That's awesome. Wow those tires hooked, looks like it bogged a little right after the launch...even with 4.30's!

Your comment is right on the money! Glad you caught that. The car did indeed bog so my guess is that with a 5K launch, maybe I could do better but I was too chicken!

Smart might be the word instead of chicken. One too many 5000 RPM launch's & you'll find out in a hurry (if it hooks) where the weak link is. Good job on your times .

Great run and good driving!
MT DRs do the job when the conditions are right.
From my personal C4 drag strip experience you may want to have a rear spindle and bearing setup handy (or buddy with a trailer) if you launch any harder. With some help you can R&R a busted spindle at the track in about an hour.
