WMD was a great success. We had a nice group of people including guys from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

The transmission and Fidanza flywheel install went well. The only glitch was that we could not install the drive shaft with the C-beam bolted in. We had to disconnect the the C-beam at the transmission and move it out of the way to get the drive shaft to clear the edge of the tunnel framing. We haven't had that problem in the past.

We had plenty of supervision:

New flywheel installed:

Initial report from David is "Thumbs Up" for the flywheel , new transmission and shifter.

I replaced the plug wires and coils on my '93. No problems. I did not replace the A/C compressor that was blowing the 10 amp A/C Clutch fuse. The problem turned out to be a pinched wire going to the clutch. Check out the Techinal Section for some pictures.

Scott stopped by with his Z06:

A good time was had by all.

Don't you guys think David has some explaining to do as to why the DM flywheel that came out was in such good shape after all the 'spirited" driving miles he has put on it?

Hey just got a txt from Dave J. He's stuck on 95S, his transmission fell out of his car and is lying in the middle of the left lane about a half mile back from where he's pulled over.
Maybe Darren can get some of Baltimores bravest to go rescue him.
Looks like another great day for the WAZOO crew, wish I could have made it. I'll catch you guys on the next one.
Looks like Dave has become the Mod King of the SE section.
Why didn't any of my Z brothers take off those heat sheilds? HE doesn't need them with that slick new tranny

Can't wait Dave.

Now for the big question....What was the official removal/installation time? We should have a world record time with this being the 6th or 7th transmission for WAZOO!!

I have just one question.......why Dave are your hands soooo clean? How do you do a trans swap and not have dirty hands?
