Default Callaway Supernatural 475

This car just got listed on eBay. 1991 Callaway Supernatural 475 ZR-1 with documentation.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks

I'm surprised though at the poor cosmetic condition of the engine. Looks kinda weathered for only having 20K miles. Rest of the car looks pretty good, though they could have done a better job at cleaning the exterior.

What mods did Callaway do to the LT5 to get to 475HP?

Head and intake porting. They also replaced the pistons and con-rods with lighter stuff.

The 490 included their "header/cats" and super-natural exhaust system.

nice car but way overpriced, also on the callaway pkg usually the car has coilovers, and brembo brakes . also some say callaway didnt do anything to the shortblk left it stk and just did the porting on the heads plenum and intake ,retimed the cams and retuned the prom .oh and lastly the car might have 392 gears . for 7k more one could have had a 440 in stroker car that was on the registry sale thread not too long ago. i would be surprised if they get 25k for it .

I'm pretty sure they have been trying to sell this car for a year and might have gone thru a few dealers.

Did callaway usually do coilovers and brembo brakes? I only know a few with that upgrade....

the brakes and the coilovers were addon options to the 475 snat pkg .Callaway to me was a very pricy place to take ones car to mod. their porting was minimal at best at least from what i have seen . inj housings look like they just had the casting flashes taken off. i have seen cars that have just inj housing and plenum, port work done make 15-20 hp more than the callaway. but thats just my opinion, that and 10 cents gets ya a cup of coffee
