Default Is anyone interested in a 94 ZR-1 Polo Green/Tan 41K miles $11,000 Hawaii for 2 days

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/cto/1594867085.html

If anyone is seriously interested in this Z I am willing to be the middle person to purchase and ship this car to you. I wish I was in the position to buy it or I would.

I just spoke with the owner and he stated that it was a CA car and he purchased it in 2004. He has since replaced the tires are 15K miles on them and had regular service but no problems other than issue with catalytic converters. Instead of factory ones aftermarket were replaced. Only minor fine scratches and nick expected of 40K mile car. Wheels are mint like new and interior is nice except for some wear on driver's seat. The oil was recently changed and currently registered. I have not seen the car and willing to for a serious buyer as it is on the other side of the island; the car can be seen at any time since he is a contractor and working near his home where it is garaged. Not sure yet if the seller is willing to go lower but I'm sure he would. I asked why the $16.5K price when the blue book is over 30K and he said the market right now is such with the economy and it is a luxury so he figured he had to price it low to move it. Like I said, if I were in the position to get it I would even for a turn around sale if not to keep it and add to a collection........just can't afford to do either right now.

He does not have the extra roof or any of the new documentation or kit from the Z. I'll try to get a VIN.

Shipping to CA ports or Seattle, WA is $1072 so a West Coast buyer is easiest, but East Coast is about $2000 last I knew.

Keith,

I really wish I could buy it...........and can't stop thinking about it. I was afraid to go a see it as if it is really nice as I think it is I might not be able to help myself. I even have the wife's support too. If not for my situation of retiring in the next six months I would do it.

This is the 3rd time there has been a steal of a deal here and with the limited market I know I would never try to sell mine here. I bought a 91 with 30K miles for $9K a few years ago and it was from original owner with all docs/kit/receipts etc. and stupid me did not keep it as it was too easy to make $10K+ in a few days by resale. Just bad timing for me so I would like to help someone from the Registry get it if they want and can afford to do so.

I leave for Texas next week so I only have this week to work with this for someone that might be in the market.

Default SOLD!!Re: Is anyone interested in a 94 ZR-1 Polo Green/Tan 41K miles $16,500 Hawaii

All,

Thanks for the PMs and sorry to inform it just sold. Unfortunately timing was not good and this morning while at work my friend was trying to email and called my cell about 5 times to tell me the price dropped to $11,000. I knew I could not do anything about it and also knew it would not last long at that price. It was a crazy first day back to work after a 4 day weekend and I could not even take calls.

After work when I got home a guy called me about buying some brake pads and poly bushings I have for sale and asked me if it fits a 90 ZR-1 so I found out he just bought the 90 for $7500 and was looking at a 94 also. I found out he was buying the 94 also when I returned his call he was at the home of the 94 checking it out. He did say it had a few minor issues but at the price he could not go wrong and will sell the 90 now.

Sorry, I guess this was difficult to work a deal like this from long distance at a price that would move too quick. I should have went out on a limb myself to bought it.

Anyway, the new owner is a US Marine (sounds like a great guy) and I told him I would help him as much as I could. I can't even believe there are deals like this. The guy that sold the 94 ZR-1 is also selling a beautful boat worth around $30K for $10K. He needs the money for an over commitment on a contracting deal to pay subs I believe.
