Looking for a Set of 5.850" Billet Rods for LT5 Stroker Project
Gathering up some parts for my stroker project and looking for a set of 5.850" SBC billet rods, standard LT5 journal size, either new or used if in good condition. Prefer Crower or Oliver but will consider others.

Sorry, I'm to far along to to pu$$y out now. Already have a spare 4 bolt engine, 4" Bryant crank and JE pistons to start the project off with. After rods the remaining major item will be liners. How about a progress report on your 402 project? Is the shortblock together yet? How is the block and liner clearance on the Crower rods you used? Last edited by Jagdpanzer; 02-11-2010 at 10:43 PM. |

Re: Looking for a Set of 5.850" Billet Rods for LT5 Stroker Project
I used 2.00 Crower's. I'm not 100% sure if the outside dimension is smaller also, compared to the 2.100 rods.
Rod clearance was easy, just a little buff out on the girdle and the bottom of the block (liner). I'm having Jeff run down to where me block/parts are. I hope to know tommrow. I was told it would be ready 2 weeks ago........... |
