Lowering Kits
Has anybody used the Mid America Motorworks Lowering Kit, if so, any issues/comments?

Re: Lowering Kits
The amount of effort required to do the front sucks. The kit is fairly cheap, but the amount of labor time is pretty high. On the rear you get adjustment, but the front is pretty much one shot.

Re: Lowering Kits
Yes, the front kit is cheap. And getting 2" longer Grade 8 bolts for the rear is reasonably easy & cheap.
Changing the rear bolts is easy. Doing the front ... I've done one and I won't do another, ever. George |

Re: Lowering Kits
The only way I would do another front is if I had it all apart already if I had to do it again I wouldn't bother it is a pain in the a$$ just give up the weekend to do it thats all.

Re: Lowering Kits
They are too short.I need to find them.As far as just lowering the rear if you level out the car it would help the look.I might raise mine a touch only because if something is too low it doesnt look right. This car looks lower but all I did was went with a different tire, same size.

Re: Lowering Kits
Well, I already have the kit, it was $37.95, reading these posts I think I'll have Precision Automotive do it in Hayward, he says its about 3 1/2 hrs for the front. Does it change the ride quality? Thx for the input.
